About the Event
Spring Awakening is a rock musical set in 1891 Germany, and follows 11 teenagers as they grapple with the serious issues that plague adolescents from every generation. Two of the students are coming to terms with their sexuality, and the show follows them from realizing their identities to starting a relationship. While this is only one piece of the larger narrative, as a queer person myself I believe that so much of what this show portrays is important and relatable to a modern LGBTQ+ audience.
