Why Your Support is Crucial

We know Jackson County is a special place, but it can be tough to be part of the LGBTQ+ community here. While vital resources may be available in nearby cities, for many of our neighbors, Jackson Pride is their only link to essential support and services. Your support—no matter the size—is what makes our work possible.

 

Your Gift Makes a Tangible Impact

  • Education: We have provided training and support for local schools with Gender/Sexuality Alliance (GSA) groups and write a quarterly newsletter with the support of Dawn Foods and Jackson Community Foundation

  • Health and Wellness: We collaborate with local partners to offer services like free HIV testing and prevention supplies.

  • Community Connection: We host social and educational events like PrideFest and the Pride Family Picnic to decrease isolation for all ages and provide information and referral services in cooperation with LifeWays and other local vendors.

  • Advancing Rights: Our Advocacy Committee focuses on local and state-level efforts to protect and advance LGBTQ+ human rights.
